The pyrotechnic elements are placed inside the lever arch file in a defined way and then ignited at a suitable location using the built-in pull-tab fuse. Within seconds, a continuous fire with enormous heat develops, which ensures that the last tightly packed sheet of paper is burnt and charred beyond recognition. The ignition can be performed either manually via a pull-tab fuse or electrically via remote ignition.
